meerkat

Pikkie L suggested I crop my Meerkat photo in landscape. I’ve given it a go and you are right Pikkie, to me it does give a different “look” to the original. Thanks for the advice! Here goes:

    Hi Dirk
The little rascal is cute all over and the quality of you phodies are good – sherp and weel exposed – yet only the middle shot is ‘cute’ :) I say that for the crop that retained the aspect ratio (dimensions) of the camera frame and the good positioning of the subject slightly to the right of the middle and ample space to ‘look into’ that balances the picture.
Top one is a bit ‘skinny’ and asks for some space in the left to balance the positioning.
Bottom one is fine to place in the centre if you fill the frame, but you did not fill it on camera, you cropped it to a square shape which is nothing like you’ll get from either and slr or a p&s digital camera.
