13 Feb 2011 Shootout – Final countdown

Event: Valentine’s Day Camerazzi Shootout – 11 Feb 2011

The what to’s and where to’s

What to bring:
1. Your camera and whatever equipment you want to drag along.
2. Camping chairs (if you have) and/or rugs, blanket etc. for seating/lying at the braai – soft green grass and shade are provided at no extra cost.
3. Cooler box or bag with your own beverages –it can become quite hot and there is not a watering hole at the Monument – cold stuff like water/coke /juice/beer/cider/cooler etc
4. Your own cutlery – knife, fork, knipmes, whatever and crockery like a plate/wheelcap or something to hold your meat and buns, ONlY if your prefer glass – we will provide paper plates and plastic cutlery (if you can call it cutlery) free of charge.

What to wear:
whatever you feel comfortable in – especially in the shoes department – we are not going to walk miles, but photography usually entails some kind of walking. We recommend a 30-factor suntan lotion for people wearing bikinis and speedo’s and the very versatile umbrella that can be used against the elements when not otherwise occupied as a shooting prop.

What to expect:
An informal, social gathering of unpretentious people from all walks of life who happen to own cameras with which they commit all sorts of obnoxious things to irritate the rest of the human population with.
