Nikon D3100 – Took this in July 2010 on a real “grey sky” day. This sailing ship is from Columbia and her name is “The Gloria.” I’ve had it blown up to A3 size and it stays sharp, but I’m not sure what it will look like when it is small? Points please, I’d like to know how others view it.

    Hi Faan. I think its an excellent photo. If I do have to change something then I would maybe crop it wit a little bit more water in front of the boat

    Pretty ship makes a pretty picture.
    The ‘grey sky day’ adds to the clearness of the pic.
    Slightly over-exposed, still lovely.

    This is just a great image Faan – so lively and colourful and the exposure is great. Sun spots in the b/g creates depth in the image and then you had the extra advantage of that massive soft box in the sky from the bright overcast light – good work!

    Faan. A lovely image – sharp and wellm placed in the frame. I wonder what a little bit of vibrance will do to the beautiful colours.
