Goodbye

It was quite a shock when I read that the Camerazzi site is to close down.

This is one of the first photos I posted to Camerazzi, it still has all the errors and mistakes that were pointed out to me at the time.

My photos today have changed and definitely for the better. A major reason for this improvement was the interaction I received from the folk on this site. I met some very good people on this site as well as at the various Camerazzi meetings during the last couple of years. My thanks to all of you for your encouragement and advice during the years. A special thanks to Pikkie for putting up with all my nonsense.

I am not member of Facebook anymore but should any of you you ever join Google+, please come and say hello.

    Seems like you missed the mail, Willem, or it missed you… It is true yes and I have thanked everyone involved in the mail I have sent and also explained us moving all our activities to Facebook. I will send forward you now.

    Just a word about and to Arnold: Arnold and I have been friends for a number of years and this website originated in that friendship – he built both the first site and this WordPress blog and maintained our web-presence for 3 years – We salute you Arnold for what you have done for the Camerazzi. Without you there would have been no Camerazzi – great guy, great developer and a great friend!

      Wow, are you trying to borrow some money? All jokes aside, please let me know if the site is going to disappear all together or is it going to stay somewhere like the old site, I need to cancel the feeds etc. What about the old site, is that staying where it is?

        The domain stays and the site will for now stay for reference purposes with content still accessible (together with the old site) – No public posting though and a bit of a setup change maybe for alternative backstage use – will speak to soonest…

    Can’t remember my first post, but agree with Arnold, learnt so much by my errors and mistakes being pointed out to me.

    Well, camerazzi (Pikkie especially) made me the photographer I am today. Thanks for all the encouragement and advice.
    I am also not active on fb, but also, thanks to Pikkie, at least belong to fb for the sake of camerazzi photo competitions – and to see all the other photographs.
