This photo was taken in the late afternoon, I usen my flash off camera for a bit of fill in flash, as I wanted to retain the nice ambient light, coming from the sunset. My camera settings was 1/160 sec, ISO 100, f/14 with the 70-200mm canon USM L lense and I used my husband’s [...]

This girl is a real sweety. She has eyes that talks to you without saying a word. I like that. We made use of a “another huge octabox” worth about R20.000 (a bit better than the previous one) and this is the results. I had my camera on manual, ISO 100, with Mike you almost [...]

I did this shoot on Sunday @ Newtown JHB. It is a stunning location for photography. Jannie my husband was my assistant. I used the flash off camera and had a little diffuser/softbox on the head that gave me directional light. I also made use of a reflector from time to time. I use my [...]

Redo of Morné’s “Beautiful sunset”
Posted 6 April 2011 by Amelia BodensteinTagged As: | Categories: Photo Forum | 4 Comments
Morné, if you don’t mind, I thought to crop your photo into a panoramic style, as the tree in the original photo is too centered. Ideally I think you should have cropped the tree either to the left or to the right, (don’t forget about the rule of thirds) with less sky on the top. [...]
