Anyone can comment on any posts on this website.

Only registered members can post photos and articles to the website and take part in competitions.

Membership is subject to active participation in the website activities and non-active members’ membership will be terminated.

Authors retain their copyright on all published materials but grant the owners and administrators of Camerazzi.net the right of re-using any published material in any way they deem fit, with acknowledgement of the Author.

Nudity is allowed as long as it is tasteful and artistic as judged by the owners and administrators of the website.

Ownership, Copy right and usage rights

Photographers, authors and artists retain the copyright to their photographs and/or any other submissions of their original intellectual property to the Camerazzi.net website. Photos and/or other materials must be submitted by the original photographer, author or artist. Contributors must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image, writing, artwork or other submitted material. Submission of the above constitutes the contributor’s guarantee of ownership and copyright.

By making any submission to Camerazzi.net the contributor agrees to have his/her submission/s displayed wholly or partially on the Camerazzi.net website for as long as it is required, without any fee or other form of compensation and that Camerazzi.net may make and retain copies of any such material for archival purposes. Submissions will be accredited to the photographer/author/artist named in the submission.

By submitting any photograph/writing/artwork which is the intellectual property of the contributor to the Camerazzi.net website, the contributor grants the owners, administrators, operators and moderators of the website a non-exclusive, royalty-free, limited license to use, publish, reproduce, display, distribute, use it for promotional or any other purpose, either through print, online publication, or other media; in either the original or in an edited format, any such submission without any fee or other form of compensation, provided that the copyright is accredited to the submitter.

Camerazzi.net is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Camerazzi.net collects personally identifiable information, like names, postal addresses, email addresses, contact numbers etc. when voluntarily submitted by our visitors and members. This information is only used by and in connection with the activities of the Camerazzi.net website and the Camerazzi Photography offline community and only a very few authorized incumbents have controlled access to this information.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. Only the owners, authorized administrators, operators, moderators, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so or have your specific permission or request for it.

We require this information for internal record keeping in order to determine trends, understand your needs and provide us with a base to plan and improve our services to and communications with you.

To improve our services we may periodically send promotional emails or SMS’s about website updates, new services, products or other information which we think you may find useful. All emails, newsletters, newsfeeds or SMS’s from this site allow you to opt out.

In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of your personal information, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We do under no circumstances knowingly and/or willfully accept contributions to this website or collect any personal information from children under the age of 15 (fifteen years), without the specific written (e-mail) consent of such a child’s parents or legal guardians, which can be recalled by notification at any time.

Comments and Submissions Policy

Members of the general public and registered members of the Camerazzi.net website or any of its subdivisions at the time, irrespective of their country of residence, are invited and encouraged to comment on the website content and to submit articles relevant to the subject of Photography to be considered for publication. Comments and articles submitted are subject to moderation and editing at the discretion of the owners, administrators, operators, moderators or contractors tasked with quality control of the website content.

Notwithstanding the provision below that only registered members may submit photographs to the website, photos used for explanation, clarification or demonstration purposes and submitted as part of a comment or article are acceptable, subject to the general and/or specific rules for the submission of photos. All submitted comments, articles and photos will be subject to the provisions of the policies on Ownership, Copyright and Use Rights, as well as the Privacy Policy above.

We strive to keep Camerazzi.net a ‘clean’ and family friendly operation without compromising the artistic nature of photography as an art form. Therefore no profanities, foul language, hate speech or discriminatory remarks or comments on the grounds of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, language or culture will be tolerated.

Comments and other submissions will respect every person’s right to freedom of conscience, religion, thought, belief and opinion in line with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.

Comments and other submissions may contain references and links to third party websites that are relevant to the submitted content and contribute to the illustration, explanation, clarification or verification thereof – as judged by the website moderators at the time. Comments and other submissions may however not contain or being judged to contain explicit advertising for products, services or websites or seek unsolicited back links to third party websites with the intention of creating internet traffic to such websites. Any such actions or deemed actions will be regarded as SPAM and treated with zero tolerance attitude and actions.

Anyone wishing to comment on any published content or contribute new content for publication or communicate with the management or administration of the website via any contact or submission form on the website, is required to provide minimal personal identifiable information on the contact or submission form, which will be treated in strict adherence to the provisions of our Privacy Policy as included above.

We are a community of people, not of nicknames or numbers and NO comments or submissions will be accepted from anonymous or unidentifiable contributors.

No comments or submissions are accepted from persons under the age of 15 years. (Refer to Children’s Online Privacy Protection above)

Only registered members of the Camerazzi.net website or any of its related categories, institutions, clubs, schools, organizations, sections, networks or other sub-divisions are eligible to submit photos to the photo submission sections of the website. Such photo-submissions are subject to the general rules for photo-submissions as well as to any additional rules set for the specific division or purpose of the submission at the time. Completion and submission of a contact form, comments form or submission form does not constitute registration as a member of the website or any of its sub-divisions.

Membership Policy

The Camerazzi community is both an online and offline community of real people bound by a common interest in Photography. Camerazzi.net is a membership website intended to cater for the communication, training, entertainment and commercial needs of the Camerazzi community members.

Membership of the website or any of its sections or sub-divisions also constitutes membership of the Camerazzi offline Community and Terms of use/membership, Code of Conduct and Membership Privileges apply both ways.

Both free membership and paid membership options may be offered to prospective members, but all membership applications and retentions are subject to sanctioning by the owners and/or management of the website and offline communities in any way they deem fit and any form of membership can summarily be terminated without any obligation to provide their reasons for such termination.

Active participation in the website activities is a requirement for retaining membership and prolonged absence from the website , unless with mutual arrangement, will give rise to termination of membership.

Any member can also terminate his/her membership by simply notifying the website or offline community managements accordingly.

Though we invite, allow and encourage participation by and submissions from non-registered visitors to our website, many features, participation options, and services are only available to registered members.

The website is divided into sections of interest and provision may be made for registering as a member of a specific section or sections of the website. Terms of use, a Code of Conduct and Membership Privileges as published and amended from time to time in the general and divisional sections of the website apply to all members.

No person under the age of 18 years will be eligible for full membership of the Camerazzi.net website or Camerazzi offline community, with the exception of membership of any section or subdivision within the website or offline community specifically intended for junior members if and when such a section or subdivision exists within the organizational structure of the community.

Persons under the age of 18 years are otherwise allowed to comment on articles and make submissions to the Camerazzi.net website subject to our Comments and Submissions Policy as above and on condition that no contributions or submissions will be accepted from children under the age of 15 unless it is in strict compliance with our Children’s Privacy Policy as included above.
